This past weekend I spent a saturday morning down at the Kansas City River Market. The market was packed and all the farmers and venders made it clear that it is farmers market season. My mom came with me and her goal for the trip was to buy a tomato plant that we could grow in our backyard. We ended up finding two tomato plants that we bought and then I decided to go ahead and buy a basil plant and celantro pant. We have all our plants planted and I will keep you updated on their grouth in an upcoming post. My favorite thing I bought was my bouquet of flowers. The bouquet was a violet colored theme with pops of red here and there and looks great in our kitchen. The river market is one of my favorite places to buy flowers because they have so many different kinds and so many different colors. I plan to make many more trips to the farmers market this summer and to keep posting about my favorite finds, so stay tuned.
